Sandy, this is quite a nasty end to such a ... terrific chapter.
Was about to write wonderful but that would probably not get it right.
This is such a fascinating story. With each and every fragment that Jack is able to remember we get a deeper insight of his painful past. I really hope he can find his way out or at least grab the hands that are so willing to lead him out of it.
