Men are not big on admitting, much less discussing, their feelings about pretty much anything and especially loving someone. These two are practically going to need to be locked in a room together to admit it's more than just lust between them. Funny that interfering John sees it so plainly, but Ianto still refuses to believe it. Denial apparently runs very deep in this neck of the woods.
That Ianto understands why Jack doesn't want the others to know about the changes in him, and is saddened by his fear of their reactions, says a lot about his feelings for Jack. Especially since he himself immediately did his best to ease Jack's mind about them as each change happened. I really hope Jack's fears turn out to be unfounded when everything comes to light.
