Jack's ghosts do run deeper and we will find out some more in the next chapter. The barrier Jack has built up is getting higher and it's getting harder for Ennis to climb over.
I hope you have more than one tissue for the next chapter because it's a lot more angsty than this one. It had me very emotional.
