It’s Not Over – Update
I wanted to day thanks to everyone who has read and commented on my story. I really appreciate the support you gave me throughout the series.
I know it has been forever almost since I updated and I apologise for that but other things got in the way and priorities changed. The worst part is that it is so close to the end that it really deserves a conclusion like I always intended it too.
I have some parts for a final chapter, including Ennis’ much anticipated letter from Jack, and epilogue. But the thing is at this stage that my thoughts are all over the place with work and school that I am having terrible problems with my creative muses. I suppose it also doesn’t help that much of that muse is focused on Torchwood.
It is ironic really because I am one of those people who really hate it when a story goes unfinished and now I am guilty of the same thing.
So, here’s what I propose, I can leave it as is and everyone can create their own happy ever after in their heads as Jack and Ennis live out their sweet life (really not an option) or I am willing to have someone collaborate with me in getting it finished or can take the reins and finish it because I really don’t see it being concluded any other way.
All thoughts are welcome and appreciated.

on 2009-02-22 06:30 am (UTC)Thanks for the support. I guess it was a good thing posting my thoughts because it was like purging my muse. I have pretty much been able to finish the last chapter and really now all it needs is some polish.

on 2009-02-22 06:38 am (UTC)I often find that declaring, even if only to myself, that I simply cannot do a thing, can give me enough of a break from the stress of it hanging over my head, so that in a short while I get to where I can do it.
Polish it whenever you are able. It will be much better than "too many cooks" in your "broth." Even if you can't get it quite to your usual standard, I'm sure we'll all be delighted to see the conclusion of your vision for the story.
Hugs,

on 2009-02-22 07:03 am (UTC)I have also been without my trusted beta for so long and that I'm sure has played on my ability to finish because she has become as big a part of the story as me and the characters themselves.
I hope it won;t be too long before I post it, but I'm sure that the draft is written it shouldn't be too much longer.
Hugs
